Distribution Transformer

A distribution transformer is also known as a typical kind of isolation transformer. The main function of this transformer is to alter the high voltage to the normal voltage like 240/120 V to use in electric power distribution. In the distribution system, there are different kinds of transformers available like single phase, 3-phase, underground, pad-mounted, pole-mounted transformer. Generally, these transformers are available in different sizes with efficiencies along with insulating oil.

Power Transformer

Power Transformers are very widely used for stepping up and stepping down the voltage at the electrical power generating station and distribution station or substation respectively. The most important reason for using the power transformer is to reduce power losses during electric power transmission.

Dry Type Transformer

Dry-type transformer is a completely stationary solid-state device and it needs less maintenance to provide problem-free service. This transformer doesn’t contain any moving parts. Unlike liquid fill transformers, this transformer simply use high-temperature insulation systems as they are very safe environmentally. These transformers give a secure and consistent power source that doesn’t need fire-resistant vaults, the emitting of toxic gasses otherwise catch basins.

Cast Resin Transformer

Cast resin transformers represent an alternative solution for electric power distribution in medium voltage applications. The advantages of cast resin transformers in comparison with the traditional oil-filled transformers are minimal fire risk, no cooling liquids, easier maintenance, low operating costs, simplicity of installation & high reliability.

Furnace Transformer

Furnace transformer is a transformer where a furnace melts charged material through an electric arc. Transformers of these types are used in steel melting and metallurgical industry. It can be usually divided into 2 groups: AC Furnace Transformer & DC Furnace Transformer. AC Furnace Transformer can be subdivided into Arc Furnace Transformer and Reduction Transformer.

USS Transformer

Unitized Transportable Substation is used for feeding power from high voltage to low voltage in open cast mines, construction sites, metro cities etc. The substation is compact in size, suitable for frequent shifting and for use in outdoor locations. The substation is installed and mounted on skid frame or wheels or channels and is provided with lifting hooks. The unitized substation comprises of the following main components.

Solar Power Transformer

A solar power transformer is used in solar power applications. A solar panel transformer has to convert the DC voltage coming out of the photovoltaic systems and step it up to the rated output. This can also be called as a solar inverter transformer because it inverts DC to AC. When solar panels are arranged in an array over large areas, the combination is called a solar farm.

Instrument Transformer

Instrument transformers are high accuracy class electrical devices used to isolate or transform voltage or current levels. The most common usage of instrument transformers is to operate instruments or metering from high voltage or high current circuits, safely isolating secondary control circuitry from the high voltages or currents. They are of 2 types: Current Transformer (CT) and Potential Transformer (PT).

Control Transformer

A control transformer is an isolation transformer designed to provide a high degree of secondary voltage stability (regulation) during a short period overload condition typically referred to as inrush. They are usually referred to as CPT’s.

Chemical Earthing

It is done using metal electrode which goes into the ground near the building. It helps in the efficient discharge of all the fault currents/ surge currents present in the electrical system. It also helps in dissipating the high voltages which are passed on through the lightning arrestors atop buildings. Also, use of Backfill compounds which are earth enhancement compounds that have different properties depending on soil and other atmospheric conditions. Essentially, an ideal BFC has high electrical conductivity, moisture capture and retention abilities and anti-corrosive properties. It works in tandem with the Safe Earthing Electrode. Together both form the efficient earthing system.

Lighting Arrestor

Metallic device mounted at the highest point of the building to capture lightning strikes and direct it to the earth via a safe path thereby preventing it from flowing through the building’s electrical circuit. In the absence of the lightning arrester a lightning strike could destroy electrical equipment and cause harm to human life through electrocutions.

Panel Trunking

Cable Tray

It supports cables. It acts as a bridge that allows for safe transport of cables and wires across open spans. Think of cable tray as the structural component of a building’s electrical system. Perforated Cable Tray

These trays are perforated from both sides. These type of cable trays are convenient for cables which require a certain degree of protection and some ventilation for its longevity.

Ladder Type Cable Tray

These consist of two side rails with rugs riveted to the bottom flange of the side rails. This type of cable trays provide maximum ventilation to heat producing cables such as power cables, etc.

Raceway Type Cable Tray

These are straight section of sample solid bottom cable trays constructed from single metal sheets. It is an enclosed conduit that forms the path for cable laying.

Single Core

These are flexible single-core cables designed for internal wiring in power and control panels, switchgears, relay and instrumentation panels. The category includes cables with FR, FRLSH, FRZH, FRLF, HR FR-LSH, FRFS and Green wire insulated wires rated for 1100V. We can also cater heat resistant cables rated for 600/1100V applicable upto 90°C.

Control Cables

Control cables are often referred to by the application, such as machinery supply cable, motor cable and robotic cable. These cables are designed for a wide range of industrial process automation applications, including signal transmission, measurement, control and regulation.These cables can be flexible, multicore, tinned copper braided or galvanized steel braided depending upon the end applications.

Submersible Flat and Round Cables

Submersible Flat Cable are used to connect submersible pump motor with supply line. These cable are specially designed to work in water condition. They are providing very well electric power in wet condition. These cables are especially designed to use in underground, under water and wet condition.

Co-Axial Cables

Coaxial cable is commonly used by cable operators, telephone companies, and internet providers around the world to convey data, video, and voice communications to customers. The three most common cable sizes are RG-6, RG-11 and RG-59.

Telephone Cables

Telephone communication system consists of a single user circuit; a physical wire connecting the device to the telephone communication network. The wires can be made in copper and typically have a twisted pair configuration. These configurations avoid possibilities of electromagnetic interferences from external sources and, together with a shielding layer, ensure a better performance.

LAN Cables

Networking cables are networking hardware used to connect one network device to other network devices or to connect two or more computers to share printers, scanners etc.

Speaker Cables

Speaker cables are used to make the electrical connection between loudspeakers and audio amplifiers. Modern speaker wire consists of two or more electrical conductors individually insulated by plastic or, less commonly, rubber.

Similar to an electrical cable with one or more optical fibers that are used to carry light.

HT Power Cables

High Voltage Cables include voltage grade ranges in 3.3 kV to 33 kV, suitably ideal for power transmission & distribution.

Silicon Cables

These are single or multicore cable suitable for extreme temperature conditions. They find their application in steel industries, cement industries, glass industries, ship buildings, and aviation. These cables can withstand a continuous temperature of -50°C to +180°C and are also available with glass fiber braiding.

LT Power Cables

LT power cables include an armoured and unarmoured range of products with PVC and XLPE insulation respectively in aluminium or copper conductor.

DC Solar Cables

These cables are suitable for permanent outdoor long-term use, under variable and harsh climate conditions. They are designed and tested to operate at a normal maximum conductor temperature of 90°C and for 20,000 hours up to 120°C. Therefore, the expected period use is 30 years under normal usage conditions.

Drag Chain & Servo Cables

Servo cables are used in the machine tools, industrial machinery, VFD (variable frequency drives), CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, intelligent servo drives and temperature control units.
Drag chain cables find its application in power chain or moving machine parts, assembly and production lines, automation, robotics and in plant engineering.
These are highly flexible cables and are available with PVC, TPE or PUR sheathing material depending upon the external environmental conditions.
These cables can be designed with power and control (or signal) cores together making a composite construction. These cables can be made resistant to oil, lubricants, acids, chemicals, UV, etc. depending upon the end application area.

Data & Communication Cables

This category of the product ensures absolute disturbance-free data transfer in medicine, traffic control, machine tools in steel industries, food processing industries and any such areas.
Data and communication cables are made as per VDE standards and are used for special data transmission and communication purpose. These cables are also available with optimum braid screen of tinned copper which substantially reduces the effect of electromagnetic interference. These cables are also available in Twisted Pairs. Within this category, some cables are specially designed for MODBUS application. They are suitable for serial communication, RS 422 and RS 485 interfaces and also form an integral part of the SCADA system. For correct communication between numerous devices of an automation system PROFIBUS network is used and thereby Field Bus cables which are especially designed for such decentralized field systems.
